Who do these dolphins think they are, interrupting a family paddling night?
Don't they know British Columbians are sick of being disturbed by such beautiful cetaceans?
Seriously, though: Deanna Collins and her family were pleasantly stunned when they were out kayaking and paddle-boarding close to Ocean Grove and heard a "roar" of dolphins coming closer, Global News reported.
Deanna's husband Bryan filmed as the super-pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins swam in and around Collins, her six-year-old daughter and a family friend for about 10 minutes on Tuesday off the shores of Campbell River.
Pods of Pacific white-sided dolphins can fluctuate from between 10 to 1,000 at a time, according to the Vancouver Aquarium's Marine Mammal Research Program.
Two years ago, more than 1,000 dolphins were spotted swimming beside a BC Ferries vessel travelling from Galiano Island to Tsawwassen.
It doesn't get much more B.C. than this.
