Good news for food lovers — you don't have to wait until January or travel overseas to try the latest and greatest food trends.

From curd-less cottage cheese to milk made from pea protein, potatoes and tapioca, the slideshow below lists the top 10 products shown at Grocery Innovations Canada. The trade event, which was was held on Sept. 28 and 29 in Toronto, showcased hundreds of new products that will be hitting grocery store shelves this year.

And since it's 2015, getting innovative also involves going mobile. Coupgon App (no, that's not a typo), for example, lets customers "clip" and redeem coupons on their smartphone, so you can scan for deals while you're waiting in line.

The new app is just a small advancement in the ever-changing grocery industry. According to Business Insider, grocery stores has been forced to adapt to on-the-go consumers. From e-stores to curated collections, consumers aren't willing to wade through hundreds of products when they only want to buy four.
