Aunt Says She Was Forced to Sue Nephew Over Hug

On Tuesday, aunt Jennifer Connell lost the lawsuit.

Earlier this week, Jennifer Connell from New York made headlines when it was reported that she was suing her nephew for $127,000 over an "unreasonable" birthday hug.

On Tuesday, a Connecticut jury took just 25 minutes to side with Connell’s 12-year-old nephew Sean Tarala. “We just couldn’t find him, you know, liable for what happened,” an anonymous juror told New York Daily News.

Following the verdict, Connell’s attorney released a statement saying that the aunt was "forced" to sue her nephew. Watch the video above to find out why.
