A Liberal volunteer door-knocking in Calgary on election day acted quickly to save a senior.
The volunteer for Kent Hehr's campaign in Calgary Centre was out reminding people to vote in the tight election race against the Conservative incumbent on Monday.
After ringing a doorbell, the worker was met by a senior who was "clearly in a dire situation," Hehr's spokesman, Ben Charland, told The Huffington Post Alberta in a phone interview.

"The volunteer acted quickly and called 911 and an ambulance came," said Charland.
