Robyn Lawley's stretch marks are starting to fade, eight months after she gave birth to her daughter Ripley.

But before they disappear, she made sure to capture them in a lovely picture on her Facebook and Instagram accounts, in an effort to help moms be proud of their own.

In a message posted with her Facebook photo, she said about a year ago, a U.K. gossip publication reported that Lawley considered abortion to avert stretch marks.

Except she never said that. And was understandably offended that she was misquoted so badly.

Lawley pointed out that she's proud of her stretch marks. So proud, in fact, that she doesn't even call them that.

For her, they're "tiger stripes." And she earned them.

"We put an unbelievable amount of ridiculous time-consuming pressure on women to care so much about their flaws they forget how truly beautiful they (you) are today," she wrote.

"F*** them, who cares, be you, be loud, be proud."

Lawley went on to assert that mothers are "warriors": "You created a life inside of you, that's no easy feat."

She's not the first model to display her stretch marks on social media.

Earlier this year, Chrissy Teigen showed them proudly on her Instagram account.

Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!

And then she did it again in a Samsung ad. She, too, called them "tiger stripes."

In the military, they say you have to earn your stripes through hard work.

Well you know what? Motherhood is hard work too.

So let's respect the marks that moms have to show for it.
