There's no shortage of diverse styles on the runway, but when it comes to the models who wear the clothes, there's still room for improvement.
This season at World MasterCard Fashion Week (a.k.a. Toronto Fashion Week), we took inspiration from our U.S. and U.K. counterparts' initiatives to make fashion week an inclusive event for people of all ethnicities, genders, sizes, shapes and personalities and asked show-goers what their ideal fashion week would look like.
They too, wished to see a variety of people on the runway -- all shapes, sizes and colours welcome. Men's plus-size lines, maternity wear, and all-around representation without the stereotypes were just some of the items on their wishlists.
Watch the video above to see what local fashion-lovers had to say about making the fashion industry more diverse.
