Bloomingdale's Apologizes For Ad Suggesting You To Spike A Friend's Drink

OK, this is creepy.

After a holiday campaign was labelled everything from "creepy" to "horrific" on Tuesday, U.S. retail giant Bloomingdale's has come out with an apology.

"We heard your feedback about our catalog copy, which was inappropriate and in poor taste. Bloomingdale's sincerely apologizes," the company wrote on their Twitter page.

The ad in question features a holiday spread of a man and woman dressed up in typical holiday party attire and not looking at each other. The tagline of the ad, however, says, “Spike your best friend’s eggnog when they’re not looking.”

Some users on Twitter called the ad creepy, others believed it suggested date rape, while others couldn't believe it went through an approval process to begin with.

Some Twitter users were not satisfied with the apology altogether.

Watch the video above and let us know, should Bloomingdale's remove the ad?
