'Sweater Nails' Are Here To Keep You Looking Cozy This Winter

It's like your nails are being kept warm with tiny little sweaters.

It's officially sweater weather — and we're not just talking about your clothes.

The newest nail trend is here and it's arriving just in time for those chilly winter months ahead.

Presenting sweater nails, that is, nail art that mimics the patterns and textures of a cableknit sweater right on your nail beds (it's like your nails are wearing tiny little sweaters, and you have to admit, that's pretty cute).

Using a dotting tool to gently apply gel nail polish (a 3-D gel is recommended to amplify the look) using straight and connecting curved lines, dots and small strokes. This will give off the crochet-like effect.

And some nail artist are getting into the festive spirit by pushing the trend one step further and creating nail art that takes after classic Christmas sweater patterns (think snowflakes and reindeer).

Get ready to cozy up to this nail trend by checking out these sweater nails below!
