The Carolina Hurricanes caused a minor social media storm when they flubbed a "Netflix and Chill" reference Tuesday night.
The team was facing the Dallas Stars when the 'Canes tweeted a photo of players Kris Versteeg and Tyler Seguin lying on the ice together with an eyebrow-raising message.
Dallas responded with a fitting "Princess Bride" reference:
.@NHLCanes uhhh....don't think that phrase means what you think it means.— Dallas Stars (@DallasStars) December 9, 2015
The 'Canes tried to retort with another reference from the movie:
@DallasStars Inconceivable!— Carolina Hurricanes (@NHLCanes) December 9, 2015
But the damage was done.
@NHLCanes I hope you realize what you're implying lmfao— . (@dsegsmachine) December 9, 2015

For the uninitiated, "Netflix and Chill" means to get it on with a movie streaming in the background.
So we're not sure what the team was implying, but to add injury to insult, the 'Canes lost 6-5.
