Family photos for holiday cards might be what Christmas has traditionally been all about, and the more awkward, the better.
But the peak of hilariously awkward has to be the single Christmas card.
Yes, sending a warm message to friends and family is a traditional single people can enjoy too — and they're doing it better than anyone else.
The problem is, a solo photo just feels out of place when the ones you receive feature a smiling couple. Or couple plus a bouncing newborn. Or couple plus grandma, grandpa and two and a half kids.
Fortunately the Internet is known for being surly and full of inspiration.
For instance, Bridget here, the last unmarried one among her four siblings, took it in stride when her parents decided that a Christmas photo with just one daughter looked a bit odd. She's been creating and mailing out her own Christmas cards ever since 2010.
One of her brothers-in-law shared them all in a Buzzfeed Community post last year, and posted them anew with her latest mail-out.
"Our only hope is that she never gets married so this can continue forever," he writes.
This was posted on Reddit. After getting out of a 10-year relationship, Kaitlyn sent this card her folks.
It seems all he needs is man's best friend, and a pipe.
This post actually did garner a marriage proposal in the comments.
Who could be lonely with a curling broom by their side?
The epitome of the bachelor and holiday cheer.
And of course, here's Bridget through the years:

Happy holidays!
