Forget walking on the treadmill. The best cardio exercises make you sweat, breathe heavy and simply kick your ass.
In the video above by Self.com, co-founder and instructor at Shred 415 Tracy Roamer shows us eight simple moves that will get your heart rate up and tone your whole body. Adding a resistance band to classic exercises like crunches and lunges makes the moves slightly more intense, which is a good thing when you are trying to burn fat.
If you don't have resistance bands on hand, use light free weights or ankle weights to create a little resistance. But don't forget, abs are made in the kitchen and sculpted in the gym, so if you are trying to transform your body in the new year, you'll need to work on both parts.
