Hockey parents have a unique lifestyle all on their own. Filled with 6 a.m. scrimmages, constant road tripping and crazy schedules, not everyone is cut out for it. That’s why it can be surprising to learn that some celebrities are hardcore hockey parents, and proud of it.

Here are a few famous figures who can relate to our hockey parent problems, gear stink and all.

Candace Cameron Bure

The former “Full House” star is the epitome of a hockey mom and she has the Instagram feed to prove it. The mom-of-three is often posting snaps of herself at her sons’ hockey games and practices. Cameron Bure had her children – Natasha, 17, Lev, 15, and Maksim, 14 – with former hockey star Valeri Bure, so it’s not surprising that her kids got into the sport.

Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart’s son Liam is making a name for himself in hockey. Currently, the 21-year-old plays for the Alaska Aces, an ECHL development league team.

While Stewart is supportive of his son, Liam admitted to the Associated Press that his dad has no idea what’s happening during his games. “All he knows is if my team scores. That’s about it,” Liam explained. “I said, ‘Dad, that’s all you need to know. If we win or if we score.’ He understands it a little bit but he’s more of a soccer guy to be honest with you.”

Liam is from Stewart’s second marriage to New Zealand model Rachel Hunter. The singer also has seven other kids from his three marriages.

Celine Dion

The first-born son of Celine Dion and the late René Angélil is a budding hockey star. Based on his Instagram account, 15-year-old René-Charles is a big fan of the Montréal Canadiens and a player for Nevada Storm Bantam AA. It’s unknown whether or not his five-year-old twin brothers Eddy and Nelson play the sport as well, but considering their Canadian roots, it’s likely we’ll see them on the ice in the future.

Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady are hockey parents. Their six-year-old son Benjamin plays the sport and the family is often photographed attending his games. The couple also has a three-year-old daughter named Vivian.

While not too many celebrities blatantly call themselves hockey parents, there are a number of famous figures who share the love of the sport and used to play hockey themselves. Below is a list of celebs who are likely to pass on their love of the sport to their kids.
