Forget the blanket scarf, Alexander McQueen is all about the blanket coat for fall.
For the label's fall 2016 fashion show at London Fashion Week, we were presented with a dreamy away of garments for autumn: ruffled dresses with whimsical motifs, sheer gowns adorned with embroidery and embellishments and leather coats with luxe fur details.
But perhaps our favourite piece from the entire collection (and trust us, there were many standouts) was the pink, puffy blanket coat, which is probably the coziest, warmest coat anyone could ever wear.
Seriously, we could totally see Rihanna rocking this.
Considering the collection was about "nighttime and dreams," as designer Sarah Burton tells WWD, a sleeping bag/coat hybrid seems like the perfect, literal way to depict the theme.
Of course, Burton isn't the first person to bring duvet coats to the runway — Rei Kawakubo for Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto and Junya Wantanabe all presented their own versions of the cozy topper back in fall 2014.
However, there's something so delicate, and almost sexy (thanks to the off-the-shoulder look) about this topper that makes us want to go to bed and have sweet, fashion dreams about the wonderful world that is McQueen.
And it looks like we aren't the only ones obsessed:
Now of course, this coat will have a hefty price tag (so it literally is the coat of our dreams), so here's hoping RiRi wears this on the red carpet, so we can live vicariously through her.
