Malaysian Makeup Artist Transforms Herself Into Disney Characters Using Her Hijab

It's the wonderful world of @QueenOfLuna!

With an Instagram following of 78.8 thousand, Malaysian makeup artist Saraswati is blowing minds on the photo sharing platform with her transformations into Disney characters. Her secret weapon? Her hijab (and some amazing contouring skills).

Transforming herself into our fave heroes and villians with the flick of a magical makeup brush, the mother-of-two uses different coloured hijabs to customize the look and replicate the hairstyles of the characters she's portraying.

So far, Queen of Luna, a self-confessed "comic geek" and "metalhead" has morphed herself into Alice from "Alice in Wonderland," Mulan from "Mulan," Ariel from "The Little Mermaid," Belle from "Beauty and the Beast," Cruella de Vil from "101 Dalmations" and...Kylie Jenner (sorry, we know she's not a Disney princess, but still hella impressive).

What is so great about Saraswati's character selfies is her brilliant use of makeup. With the use of heavy shadows and contacts, the artist nails each character's facial details. In certain posts, she talks about how she used the hijab to create the look:

"Spent too many time on styling the hijab lol oh well," she writes on her "Alice in Wonderland" photo. "Needed to attach the headband on hijab."

🍀💚Tinker Bell💚🍀 Requested by @nyssaismadi. 😘 Just had to take this pic from a high angle so the bun can be seen. It's actually an underscarf (hijab inner that has a bun in it) yes there's such thing lol and worn with the gold satin shawl. I planned to do a more unique Tinker Bell look or a twisted version like @akhanartistry's (she's a very talented artist, you guys need to check out her amazing SFX looks) but I just didn't have much time. 😭 #momproblems . #amazingmakeupart #muamalaysia #charactermakeup #disneyprincess #disneyvillains #makeupartistmalaysia #malaysianmakeupartist #hijabiqueen #hijabster #disneyprincesses #makeupdolls #fantasy #fairytale #faceart #hijabstyle #universalhairandmakeup #makeupgeek #maquillage #cosplayers #tinkerbelle #neverland #peterpan

"Your pictures are goals and I like how you use your hijab and are confident and incorporate it into the photos instead of just doing the makeup, keep it up," writes one fan on her page, as reported by the Daily Mail.

This Internet discovery comes weeks after Sarah Ingle, a 25-year-old marketing manager who looks exactly like our favourite Disney princesses, revealed she spent more than US$14,000 on custom-made costumes to start a business called "Princess Ever After."
