A B.C. driver who was pulled over for driving with their cellphone in hand more than a dozen times has been taken off the road.

Richmond RCMP tweeted about the prohibition on Tuesday.

Officers said the driver was issued her 12th ticket last month after a collision with an RCMP cruiser.

She was slapped with two more driving violations within a week of that announcement.

RCMP said they'd put in a request for the driver to be taken off the road.
