The lineup for Vancouver's annual Celebration of Light was announced Thursday — and with Disney involved, it could be magical.
The three-day show, which is the longest-running festival of its kind in the world, kicks off in late July at English Bay. The free event often brings more than a million spectators to the area and is one of the summer's most popular attractions.
In 2015, Canada beat Brazil and China to win the contest.
This year's lineup is as follows:
- July 23rd: Royal Fireworks — Netherlands
- July 27th: Howard’s Fireworks — Australia
- July 30th: Walt Disney Entertainment — United States
It will be the first appearance for the Netherlands, and the second for Australia. The United States has entered several times before, but they've never been represented by Disney.
Shows start at 10 p.m., rain or shine. (It's better to arrive at viewing areas early and claim a spot.)
And if this is any indication...
... Vancouver could be the most magical place on Earth this summer.
