Josh Raby just wanted a milkshake. But he ended up driving away from a Nashville McDonald’s drive-thru with a chicken sandwich and a strange story to digest.

The web series creator chronicled his late-night rendezvous with fast food customer service on Twitter.

It began late Sunday with an urge to satisfy his craving for a sweet dessert.

The McDonald’s worker disappears.

Then things take an unexpected intensity.

Raby doesn't know what to say.

He cedes.

He disappears again, but returns triumphant.

Things get weirder.

Then, a twist!

What.

LOL.

For proof, he offered readers this.

Despite cradling a chicken sandwich at night’s end, there’s a happy ending.

McDonald’s got in touch after Raby’s wild story went viral.
