Alberta RCMP have taken to Facebook to politely ask for their missing teepee to be returned.
The Gleichen RCMP detachment set up a teepee to advertise a local cadet and RCMP constable program, Siksika First Nation's justice department wrote in a statement.
When the Mounties returned to pack up the display the following day, they discovered the teepee had gone missing.
Police determined the canvas had been stolen between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on June 23.
"If you have the canvas, please return it to the nearest RCMP detachment – no questions asked," Alberta RCMP posted on Facebook.
The RCMP is hoping the teepee canvas will be returned in time for the Calgary Stampede which begins on July 8.
Siksika First Nation is located in southeast Alberta.
