Toronto Taxi Rams Cyclist In Wild Viral Video

Toronto police are investigating.

This takes road rage to a new extreme.

A video making the rounds on social media shows a taxi in downtown Toronto striking a bike courier. The footage was captured by American vlogger Roman Atwood, who happened to be filming a segment, and shared to YouTube on Friday.

UPDATE: Aug. 25 — CP24 reports the driver in the incident, Ali Farkhondehfall, has been charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The clip shows the cyclist, who works for food delivery company Favour, hitting the taxi's windows before the vehicle knocks him to the ground.

Jump to the 3:45 mark in the video below to see the incident:

“You’re going to jail. That is assault,” the courier yells at the driver.

The 31-year-old cyclist suffered minor injuries from the collision, according to Toronto police. The force said it is investigating the incident and seeking four witnesses who were at the scene.

A spokeswoman for Favour told the Toronto Star that the company is working with police on the investigation.

“The safety of our runners is a top priority," said spokewoman Tina Heileman.
