Humpback Whale Spotted In New York City Harbour

Wow.

Lady Liberty was upstaged by another giant in New York City's harbour on Thursday.

A humpback whale swam into the harbour and up to George Washington Bridge. It was visible from the Staten Island Ferry.

The U.S. coast guard broadcast a warning to boaters in the area to steer clear of the marine mammal.

Humpback whales can grow to as long as 16 metres in length. The whales are a rare site in the harbour.
