When Lady Gaga literally dropped into Houston’s NRG Stadium for her Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday night, many couldn’t help but notice how similar the act was to Pink’s previous acrobatic stunts.

As a result, many quickly took to Twitter to criticize Gaga for “stealing” Pink’s moves.

Pink is known for using acrobatic stunts in her performances, most notably at the 2009 VMAs and the 2010 Grammys. Despite this, the “Just Like Fire” singer was not at all upset that Lady Gaga incorporated a similar routine into her Super Bowl act.

In fact, Pink strongly disagreed with the backlash Gaga received from haters and wrote a note on Instagram to not only applaud the singer, but to encourage others to show support as well.

“For the record: Let’s squash this before it even has a chance to be a thing… Lady Gaga killed it yesterday,” Pink wrote. “Her voice was powerful and beautiful, her outfits were on point, choreography stellar, her heart was in it and she sang about love and inclusiveness, all in front of millions and millions of people.”

“Let’s celebrate a woman who has the guts to jump off a roof and stand up in the first place,” she added. “Who cares if I flew first? Cause I didn’t! Cirque and Peter Pan been in the air for years!”

To end her note, the 37-year-old also added that haters should focus on real controversies happening in the world, like “the one where our so called leader is stripping our humanity away minute by minute.”

On Twitter, fans praised Pink for keeping it real and for always empowering and supporting women.

Bravo, Pink!
