With a slew of hit TV shows under her belt, Shonda Rhimes is nothing short of a superwoman. But with her latest look, she's seriously taken the title to new heights.
In celebration of "Scandal's" 100th episode, which took place on Saturday, the queen of prime time took to the red carpet wearing what we think is one hell of an iconic outfit — a US$3000 Dolce & Gabbana pasta dress, complete with red ribbons reading, "Made In Italy."
The 47-year-old proudly flaunted her fit on Instagram the next day, with many fans praising her tasty-looking frock.
"We love u like pasta," one user wrote.
"Oh I love pasta!!!" said another. "But I admit I love you more."
Rhimes left her curls out and opted for simple accessories and black kitten heels to complete the look.
Aside from wearing Italian cuisine and having us glued to our TV screens every Thursday, the Chicago native recently partnered with Dove to create Real Beauty Productions, an initiative to create more representation for all women in television, ads and movies.
"I have always told stories to show us who we really are — our real human truths," she said in a press release. "The way women are depicted on our screens — big and small — must be challenged. I am personally eager to see the real and unexpected stories women will share with us."
As for this magnificent dress, although we're not exactly sure if Rhimes was rocking linguine, spaghetti or angel hair, we are sure that only a gal like her can pull off actually wearing pasta. The rest of us regular people will just stick to binge eating it on our cheat days.
