Prince Harry Awkwardly Dodges Question About Meghan Markle

Did someone forget to tell Prince Harry that the whole world already knows he's dating actress Meghan Markle?

Though the prince is hoping to get Brits to loosen their stiff upper lip when it comes to talking about mental health, Harry is keeping his tight when it comes to opening up about his love life.

The 32-year-old prince, who has been busy making the media rounds promoting his Heads Together charity and the upcoming Invictus Games, seemed caught off guard this week when Sky News asked him a question about having a woman in his life.

"You seem in a really good place at the moment, you seem very focused on what you want to do, but you also seem to be very happy. Is that partly to do with having a lady in your life?" journalist Rhiannon Mills asked the prince.

Refusing to take the bait, Harry responded, "I think, I think the point that we've learnt over this campaign is that if you talk, if you're able and comfortable enough to be able to talk about certain issues, certain experiences, then you come out of it a far better person."

When pressed further about being "in a good place," Harry confirmed, "Yeah, of course, I'm in a good place, we're all in a good place and we want the U.K. to be in a good place as well."

Way to deflect, Harry.

For the most part, Harry has remained mum on his relationship with Markle, only acknowledging it in a statement issued last November asking the media and public to respect the privacy of the Toronto-based American "Suits" star.

"Prince Harry has been very aware of the warmth that has been extended to him by members of the public. He feels lucky to have so many people supporting him and knows what a fortunate and privileged life he leads," the statement read. "But the past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment."

"Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her," the letter continued. "It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.' He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his."
