This sinkhole in China eats minibuses for breakfast.
An unidentified driver was navigating through Guilin, China Thursday morning when a sinkhole suddenly opened up and swallowed his minibus whole. It measured six feet deep, according to ABC News, although measurements varied.
The driver, reportedly the only passenger, sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital, Global Times reported. Heavy rains are believed to be the cause, although the accident is under investigation.
China has seen many sinkholes in recent years, thanks to extensive mining, construction and poor geological regulation, Associated Press previously noted.
