B.C. RCMP say fights between students posted online were not part of an underground "fight club" and were instead just a way to settle scores.
Two fights between students in Port Alberni were posted to YouTube and Dailymotion this month.
Investigations by the Port Alberni RCMP and Alberni District Secondary School concluded the fights were "not part an organized club, but rather cases of disagreements between the teen parties that were unfortunately resolved by physical means," said a news release on Friday.
The video was recorded by a bystander, and was not planned by the students involved in the fights, said the RCMP.
The two boys in the fight were suspended for five days, while the school district said those seen cheering them on could also face punishment, reported CTV B.C.
