We knew it was coming. A Super Bowl on CTV means Canadians would miss all the buzzy U.S. Super Bowl 2013 ads.
But that didn't stop readers from tweeting out their frustration about the selection of ads being shown Sunday night, including many house ads for CTV network shows.
"So CTV pays big bucks to get SB rights. Simulcast on all possible U.S. Outlets, don't sell any ads and airs promos," tweeted Romeo St. Martin.
To be fair, a few anticipated ads were playing, including a trailer for the next 'Iron Man' movie.

As we wrote earlier in the week, millions of Canadians who are watching the Baltimore Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers, want to see the splashy new commercials.
Canadian broadcasters (this year it’s CTV) pay for the right to broadcast the big game, but not for the ads U.S. networks show. They sell their own ads, and they manage to get the rates they fetch for those slots by promising advertisers all of the Canadian viewers watching the Super Bowl. Read more here.
