Robin Thicke may have claimed that he was only "the twerkee," but that argument may have been just as unconvincing to his wife Paula Patton as it was to you.
TMZ is reporting that Thicke's marriage to Patton "fell apart when he dry humped Miley Cyrus on stage before a national audience ... humiliating his wife."
TMZ goes on to claim that sources are saying Patton felt "utterly disrespected" and that they got into a big argument afterwards because Thicke played along with Miley's raunchy antics.
However, the gossip site also goes on to mention she was angry at numerous other instances of Thicke being photographed groping and partying with other women, including an infamous VMAs afterparty photo with socialite Lana Scolaro, who later claimed he cheated with her.
Scolaro told Life & Style that she and Thicke later made out on a couch. “He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, 'I want to get you into bed!'"
Miley makes for a good scapegoat (just read the, er, Internet) but Thicke and Patton have been a couple since they were 14 and it was part of a performance. Patton may have felt he "insulted her before a huge national TV audience," as TMZ claims, but she's been known to get hot and heavy with Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington onscreen -- and a big national audience watched "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "2 Guns," too.
