An Edmonton man told police he suffered second-degree burns to his back, thighs and forehead after waking up on fire, Global News reports.
Staff Sgt. Terry Langley said others at the residence the man was staying at were "looking toward supernatural causes as opposed to providing us any information," according to the Edmonton Journal. The family declined to be interviewed by police.

He said police aren't "putting a whole lot of stock in the spontaneous combustion angle that’s being presumed by the family.”
The unidentified man, believed to be 19 or 20-years-old, suffered burns on almost 30 per cent of his body, Langley said.
No suspects have been identified and the investigation remains ongoing.
