Remember that "Cat Daddy" videoTerry Richardson posted of Kate Upton dancing, catapulting her to fame? Well, according to the 22-year-old model, she was not impressed with the controversial photographer releasing the vid.
In an interview with Alexa Chung for Vogue UK, the Florida native, who covers the most recent issue of The Edit, reveals she never wanted the clip to go public and initially found it "disrespectful" that Richardson posted it.
The article reads:
"Terry Richardson found himself on the receiving end of her wrath in May 2012, when he uploaded his now infamous video of Upton in a teeny-weeny bikini doing the Cat Daddy, a dance craze that appears to involve a lot of grinding, 'paws; aloft. The video received millions of hits on Youtube -- not to mention a number of slow-motion versions for the more discerning customer -- but, at the time, Upton was horrified because the behind-the-scenes video had been filmed for fun, not something she expected would make the final cut."
Kate made her feelings known to Terry, telling him, "That was disrespectful, you could have told me!" For the record, the blond beauty is okay with the video now, telling the magazine, "Now, obviously, it's fine."
The 49-year-old photographer, however, doesn't feel he is responsible for Kate's fame.
"Kate was born a star," he told the magazine.
