A Vancouver-based actress will be starring in the upcoming thriller, "The Revenant", alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Gracey Dove, who is originally from the Canim Lake Indian Band in northern B.C., announced the news by posting an intimate promotional poster for the movie on Instagram.
"I am absolutely THRILLED to finally be able to reveal the biggest news of my life thus far," the actress wrote. "This is just the beginning of a huge future for our people, and I am so hyped for all the doors that just opened… I have been working my whole life for this and I am ready."
Dove, who also hosts the underEXPOSED TV series with APTN, also thanked DiCaprio for his guidance on the project.
The Oscar-nominated actor plays Hugh Glass, a 19th-century explorer who was buried alive and left for dead after he was attacked by a bear on a hunting trip. Dove plays his wife in the film, and appears at the 2:11 mark in the trailer. (Watch above.)
The movie, directed by Academy Award-winner Alejandro González Iñárritu, was shot partly in Burnaby, B.C. and Calgary. The film hits theatres in December.
