How Madonna Knew She'd Be A Star Even Before Her First Hit

It turns out Madonna knew she was a material girl before she even had any material.

The Grammy-winning artist's music spans decades but if you go to her early days — before her debut single "Everybody" — Madonna was something of a club hopper, according to actress Debi Mazar.

"She's just strolling into the club one day — she had this great energy — at one point there was a great song going on and she saw me just grooving out and she was, 'hey you want to dance?'"

From that moment on the two women became friends, and during that friendship Mazar learned how determined the song writer was.
