Alicia Keys is staying true to her #NoMakeup pledge.
After promising to go makeup-free in an essay she wrote for Lena Dunham's newsletter, Lenny Letter, the 35-year-old singer/songwriter kept her word, walking the 2016 BET Awards red carpet bare-faced on Sunday.
Wearing a billowy black jumpsuit, strappy sandals and a hair wrap, the mother-of-two confidently posed for photos while showing off her natural beauty.
Keys' husband, Swizz Beatz, was also in attendance, stopping to kiss his wife for a few pictures.
This marks the first time the "Fallin'" songstress has walked a red carpet since penning her powerful Lenny essay. Since publishing the piece, Alicia has also gone makeup-free for magazines and performances.
The songstress' decision to ditch the makeup came after she showed up to a photo shoot bare-faced and the photographer insisted on snapping her on the spot.
"I swear it is the strongest, most empowered, most free, and most honestly beautiful that I have ever felt," Keys recalled in her essay.
And in a world where most celebrities are heavily altering and Photoshopping their Instagram selfies, it's definitely refreshing to see a prominent woman in the spotlight stay true to her word in embracing her natural beauty.
