Olympic athletes are often remembered for their triumphs. But sometimes they endure moments of pain that are just too visceral to forget.
One of those moments came Wednesday, when Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan injured his elbow while competing in the 77-kilogram category at the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.

He's far from the first to suffer such a devastating injury.
