We should be able to separate Middle Eastern politics from a fantasy film.
U.S. President Donald Trump visited the Middle East and met with leaders of many countries in a few short days. During this brief visit he seems to have solidified his position to an extent that makes it possible to push a deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Is it good news? I am not so sure.

Pope Francis' visit to Egypt April 28-29 is important, as the direction the country takes - peace or continued volatility - will greatly impact the entire region. If Egypt can become a model of stability through interfaith dialogue, reconciliation and a desire to work for the common good, it may very well be the road map to lasting peace in the Middle East.

The phenomenon of poets getting inspired by the jinn can be traced back to pre-Islamic times. It is a living artistic and spiritual tradition that allows people to experience, to some extant, the visionary realities of the prophets, the Friends of God (Awliya) and the saints.
We ask you to resist the false alarm that your Zionist friends sound when they cry "anti-Semitism!" as the proverbial boy might cry "wolf!" Criticism is not Kristallnacht; challenges to the occupation are not the gas chambers. The distinction is crucial.
