Calgary Is Flooded With Love

We've only lived here for a year and a half but Calgary has been home to me for much longer than that. As a city we are blessed with incredible public services and fantastic first responders. And I'm watching as our flooded city floods them with love.

We've only lived here for a year and a half but Calgary has been home to me for much longer than that.

I was born here and part of me never left. The iconic parts of Calgary -- the Calgary Tower, the Saddledome, the rivers, the parks -- are what play on my personal slideshow when I think of what home means to me.

And today, many of those places -- the landmarks, the buildings, the parks -- are under water.

The flooding in Calgary is devastating, and all I can do from my home on high ground in the NW is watch. I wish I could help, and I will. I will help when the time is right to do more than just help from afar.

In the meantime, there is this: As a city we are blessed with incredible public services and fantastic first responders. And I'm watching as our flooded city floods them with love.

We will rally. We will be #CalgaryStrong.
