5 TV Shows That Need to Make a Comeback

There are few things worse in this world than our favourite TV shows getting cancelled. You get that icky feeling like you can't breathe and you're not sure you can go on with your life. What's even worse is when you know the end is coming and they've built it up and built it up and then it's just...over. Sometimes you have closure, sometimes you don't. Either way, we've rounded up a list of shows that we wish -- nay, DEMAND -- return to our lives.

Friends

After years of rumours and whispers, cruel jokes and hoaxes, we just really, really want the reunion we've been dreaming about for the last decade that this show has been off TV. It doesn't need to be a full-blown movie -- we'd take a six-episode Netflix series that we can stream in one sitting. But basically, we just want this show back in our lives, because frankly the jokes are getting a little stale (and the only reason I say that is because my friends keep asking me to stop referencing quotes like they're still relevant -- WHICH THEY ARE BY THE WAY, ADAM). In this case, we did have a decent series finale (unlike another show seen below...) we know where everyone stood and that Ross and Rachel were still together, but we're selfish and want more.

Happy Endings

FACT: This is one of the most underrated, hilarious shows to ever hit the airwaves. Running for a short three seasons, it was cancelled last year due to poor ratings (which is INSANE because it's ah-mahzing). Apparently the show has been shopping other networks since ABC pulled it, and we're hoping (praying!!!) that someone picks it up again soon. In the meantime we'll just have to re-watch all three seasons again and again (and again) on Netflix and adopt their lingo into our everyday vocabularies (sah cyuht!) until somebody comes to their senses.

Dexter

OK, I'm going to preface this by saying the ONLY reason this show made the list is because as a devout watcher from the very beginning, I (like millions of others) felt completely CHEATED by the series finale (actually, if we're being honest, the entire last season) and demand for this to be rectified. There was a rumour that there may be a spin-off in the near future, and dammit there had better be because *SPOILER ALERT* a lumberjack is UNACCEPTABLE. No. It just doesn't work. Seriously. WTF is that? So until the TV gods right this heinous crime to an otherwise brilliant show, I will just sit here and sulk.

Gilmore Girls

What's been going on with our favourite mother-daughter duo? Is Lorelai still with Luke? What happened with Rory? Is she married? Does she have kids? Are her grandparents still alive?? Too many questions, not enough answers. OK, so maybe Melissa McCarthy is too big league now to go back to Stars Hollow, but I really do miss her sweet demeanour before she became hilarious and crass. Like Friends, Paris' lines are getting a little old and I need some new phrases to throw at people when they're being oh-so-dumb.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

I don't know about you, but I miss this show like crazy. I used to love love love it (even that awful college season). I'm just curious to see what's happened to Sabrina and like Gilmore Girls, I have sooo many questions. Did Sabrina find love? What career did she get into? When she's on deadline (like, say, for writing an article about TV shows...), does she just wave her finger to get it done? Does she have kids? Are they magical? Does she use her magic to win fights with her husband? (Not that I would EVER consider doing that.) My pre-teen self really just needs this show to return, because what self-respecting twenty-something wouldn't watch if it came back? I would have to question your sanity if you said no to this show.

(Honourable mention goes to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. But, alas, it just wouldn't be the same without Uncle Phil. RIP.)

Bottom line: Take a hint from Entourage, 24, Arrested Development and Boy Meets World and at least do a relevant spin-off or movie or Netflix series. Whatever you need to do. JUST. COME. BACK.
