Six-year-old Keian Blundell made headlines in November when he fulfilled his dream to be a Mountie.
Keian, who had been battling leukemia since being diagnosed in July 2012, passed away on New Year's Day.
His father, Ryan Blundell tweeted the sad news, saying, "You'll always be my son, hero & the man I want to be. It's raining out as the world cries."

Keian had become interested in joining the RCMP following numerous trips to BC Children's hospital in Vancouver, a route that took him past RCMP headquarters. The Langley boy's plight so moved members of the force, they had a custom made miniature red serge uniform created for him.
