Ariana Grande finally got sick of her signature wavy hair!
At the Kids’ Choice Awards this past weekend, the singer debuted a new hairstyle: sleek, straight locks, which gave the rising star a more mature look.
Why the sudden change? After years of pulling her hair up or letting it loose in lots of waves, the 20-year-old was probably tired of the same old hairstyles, hence the more grown-up look.
"The Way" songtress has previously opened up about how "people give [her] such a hard time about her hair" and explained that her natural hair has been destroyed as a result of constant bleach and dye jobs during her time on the Nickelodeon show "Sam & Cat."
Grande revealed that she wears fake hair styled in a ponytail, because her "actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd" when she wears it down.
Pointing out that she wears "more fake hair than every drag queen on Earth combined," the cutie begged her fans to stop with the online bullying. "PLEASE gimme a break about the hair or just don't look at me lol. IT'S JUST HAIR AFTER ALL."
We couldn't agree more and we think the Cosmopolitan cover gal looks fantastic no matter how she styles her hair. (But it's nice to see her change it up once in a while!)
