Oscars 2015: Best Song Nominees Include 'Awesome' Lego Theme And 'Selma' Civil Rights Anthem 'Glory'

Warner Bros.

After being snubbed by the Golden Globes but recognized by the Grammys, the "Lego Movie" earworm "Everything Is Awesome!!!" can now claim an Oscar nomination.

The much-loved theme song by Canadian sisters Tegan & Sara with Andy Samberg's comedy-rap trio The Lonely Island and Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh was co-written by Canadian Joshua Bartholomew and his American wife Lisa Harriton.

It landed a slot beside Golden Globe winner "Glory," a civil right gospel-rap anthem by Common and John Legend. The pair also delivered the most moving speech at the Globes, acknowledging that given all the recent police violence protests "'Selma' is now."

These frontrunners will be up against "I'm Not Gonna Miss You," the final song recorded by alzheimer's-afflicted legend Glen Cambell for a documentary about his life, Rita Ora's "Grateful" from the romance "Beyond the Lights" and Adam Levine solo track "Lost Stars" from the musical dramedy "Begin Again" in which the Maroon 5 singer plays a supporting role.

The full list of nominees are:

"Everything Is Awesome" from THE LEGO MOVIE

"Glory" from SELMA

"Grateful" from BEYOND THE LIGHTS

"I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from GLEN CAMPBELL...I'LL BE ME

"Lost Stars" from BEGIN AGAIN
