It's the moment Torontonians have been waiting for since the start of the Meek Mill debacle: Drake and Norm Kelly, together at last.
The rapper made a surprise appearance at the Ryerson Student Union's parade and concert, where he was introduced by Toronto Twitter sensation and city councillor Norm Kelly.
Wearing a Ryerson Rams jersey, Kelly took to the stage to fire up fans, according to the Toronto Star.
“Drake just arrived, this is surreal. Four months of work leading to this moment,” RSU vice-president education Cormac McGee told The Eyeopener, Ryerson's student newspaper.
Drake and Kelly's bromance first blossomed in July, when Kelly defended the rapper during his feud with Meek Mill.
"You're no longer welcome in Toronto, @MeekMill," he tweeted.
Kelly was then honoured with a giant backdrop at OVO Fest a couple of weeks later.
The two posed back-to-back on stage on Friday in this epic photo:
The program for the event had made no mention of Drake's appearance, and was supposed to be headlined by Future, a rapper Drake has toured with.
Earlier this week, Ryerson gave a nod to the term Drake coined for the city in a banner welcoming new students.
