The woman who plunged to her death from a luxury downtown Vancouver highrise over the weekend has been identified as 21-year-old Ranita Arnold.
According to witnesses, the young woman was involved in a romantic relationship with the owner of the Yaletown suite she fell from, The Province reports.
It's unclear if the owner, identified as Kitsilano dentist Tyler Duffy by CBC News, was present at the time of the incident.
Rescue crews were called to the scene at 5 p.m. on Sunday after area residents heard screams and saw a woman fall to the ground.
Though the death was initially treated as suspicious, it is unlikely that a homicide investigation will be conducted, confirmed Vancouver Police Sgt. Randy Fincham at a news conference on Tuesday.
BC Coroners Service is expected to conduct an autopsy later this week.
