On Friday, thousands of athletes will walk down the Olympic stadium, raising their flags with pride.

With more than 200 countries taking part in the "Parade of Nations," each country has selected their own flag bearer. These Olympians are either internationally known for their talents or are upcoming superstars in their home countries.

Rows of tennis players, basketball players, runners and even family members, will march down side-by-side their home teams. But who will be missing out? Swimmers from Great Britain, U.K. and Canada will be opting out of the Opening Ceremonies because of long hours, scheduling and tired legs.
