Peter Kent Calls Harper 'Prime Minister Of Cannibal' Days After MP Makes Same Error

Peter Kent Latest To Call Harper PM Of 'Cannibal'
CP

For the second time this week, Harper was introduced as the "prime minister of cannibal," this time by Environment Minister Peter Kent.

Kent's gaffe took place in Norman Wells, N.W.T., where Harper was announcing the creation of a new national park. The prime minister is currently up North on his annual Arctic tour.

Tory MP Ryan Leef made the exact same verbal gaffe on Monday while introducing the PM in Carcross, Yukon. You can see Leef's mistake for yourself in the video below.

Kent explained the error was the result of being regaled by Leef about his own slip just before speaking himself, according to Canoe.

Harper was quick with his comeback, joking "So I hear my reputation precedes me," according to CBC.

Users on Twitter were quick to capitalize on the flubs.

"I think that's enough, right there, for some left wing web site to start a Harper-is-a-cannibal conspiracy theory," quipped Postmedia's national columnist Stephen Maher.

You heard him Internet, let's get cooking.
