Shopping for a wedding dress is hard enough but if you're a non-traditional bride, the search just got a little bit harder.
That's where Etsy wedding dresses come in. If you're the kinda gal who's looking for something that's a bit more unique and don't want to pop into Kleinfeld to try on the latest Pnina Tornai gown, then you're in for a treat thanks to a group of creative wedding dress designers who are changing the bridal game. (Hooray for online shopping!)
Trust us, you don't have to step into a bridal salon to get the perfect gown: shopping for a wedding dress online is super easy and convenient thanks to the designers' meticulous eyes for details when it comes to getting the proper size and fit of your dream dress.

So, to help you find your perfect gown, check out our favourite wedding dress Etsy stores below and get shopping!
1. Truvelle
Of course we had to start off our list with a Canadian! Vancouver, B.C.-based designer Gaby Bayona is the mastermind behind Truvelle's ethereal designs. Think rose-gold sequins, flowing silk chiffon, pretty bows and only the most delicate of lace.
Perfect for the low-key bride who wants a bit of romantic whimsy in her dress, Truvelle has got effortless wedding style down pat. The best part? The most expensive dress in the store is $2,450, with most of the gowns falling between $1,750 and $2,100.
Our favourite dress from their 2015 collection is the "Sierra" dress: a strapless stunner that features rose gold sequins on the skirt.
Good news for brides-to-be: Truvelle dresses are also carried in bridal salons in Canada, the United States, Australia and South Africa.
2. Ting Bridal
This Washington, DC-based shop is perfect for the bride who's looking for a beach wedding or is looking for something simple that doesn't weigh her down. Ting Bridal dresses are vintage-inspired and come in beautiful lightweight tulle, lace and silk chiffon. Putting the "simple" in timeless elegance, the store features dresses that are so classic, you could pass them down to your children.
Check out one of our favourites, the "Alice in Wonderland" dress, which features French Alencon lace, a strapless sweetheart neckline and a dreamy tulle skirt. It's just a little bit of wedding heaven.
3. Bridal Bliss Designs
This independent designer creates classic looks (think mermaid silhouettes, strapless necklines and lots of lace) but with a modern edge. Bridal Bliss Designs would suit the bride who wants a traditional look with a twist. Take this satin and tulle dress with a ruched waist and cap sleeves—a classic shape, to be sure, but with a modern elegance in the sleeves.
4. The Flower Bride
Kelsey Genna, the New Zealand based designer behind The Flower Bride, is only 22 years old but her designs look as if they were made by someone who has that many years experience. Inspired by her love of flowers, Genna adds a unique floral touch to each of her simple but elegant dresses. Check out the "Spring Bouquet" dress that features a bodice inspired by a spring bouquet of flowers and hand-cut cotton lace flowers and silk roses.
For brides who want something a bit more sexy and informal, the "Tullie" dress is short and sweet—perfect for the City Hall bride.
5. Grace Loves Lace
If you're a boho babe, than the Grace Loves Lace shop is the perfect one-stop shop for all your wedding dress needs. Take heed: these dresses aren't for the traditional bride who is set on marrying in a church—think a beach, art gallery or outdoor setting that is uncomplicated and modern, just like you.
Some of our favourites include this dreamy low-back wedding dress with spaghetti straps and a short lace front hem with a long chiffon overlay and this stunning long lace sleeved wedding dress with a jaw-dropping low back and silk chiffon train. Trust us: this ain't your mom's wedding gown!
6. Dreamers And Lovers
The wedding dresses from Dreamers And Lovers aren't for the typical bride. With a mix of short lace dresses, '70s-inspired looks and form-fitting gowns with thigh-high slits, the store offers a variety of cool-girl dresses for the bride who isn't afraid to take risks (and risk her parents' wrath).
7. Suzanna M Designs
If you're tired of the typical strapless gowns that are everywhere and want to get in touch with decades past, then Suzanna M Designs may be perfect for you. Featuring vintage-inspired dresses with a romantic feel (check out this fabulous mint pale blue layered boho dress), the store is perfect for brides who want to get married on a beach or channel their inner Daisy Buchanan for a "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding.
8. Mermaid Bridal
If you're all about pure romance, then you'll feel right at home with Mermaid Bridal. Featuring vintage tea-cup dresses with the most delicate of lace and romantic mermaid gowns with embellished lace sleeves, the store will ensure you'll wear a dress to remember on your special day.
