Skincare company Clean & Clear debuted its #SelfAcceptanceSpeech commercial during the award show, and it definitely had us reaching for the tissues. The ad featured seven young women talking about their unique features that they were once bullied for, but that they've grown to accept and love nonetheless.
"I accept that my forehead is big," said one of the young women. "I love my glasses," said another.
"To become accepted by others, that's really not important," one of the young women wisely concluded. "It's what you think about yourself."
The commercial struck a chord with men and women across the Twitterverse, some admitting that it brought them to tears:

Some were even inspired to take to Instagram and Twitter to share their own self acceptance speeches, proving, as the commercial stated, that "the best acceptance speeches are the ones we give ourselves."
#selfacceptancespeech @cleanandclear Hi my name is Destiny and I accept.... |||My big forehead and acne||| I've had both my whole life, but regardless of those features 🌸I still love who I am. They do not define me or who I am🙅🏽.I love the skin I'm in. I encourage as many ladies and gents. as possible to post a video/pic giving your acceptance speech. 🌸 "the best acceptance speeches are the ones we give ourselves." #cleanandclear
hey you. you are beautiful. I know it's not always easy to accept our imperfections, but we should celebrate them! I used to get teased all the time for my one "elf" ear so I'd refuse to wear my hair up. I almost got it removed but I'm glad I didn't. It makes me different! besides, being normal is vastly overrated ;) share your #selfacceptancespeech with me! 💕 @cleanandclear #sp
