Election day is coming up fast in Canada, and let's just say, we think it's pretty important for you to vote.
After all, we're lucky to live in a democratic country where we get the right to choose our leaders, so why not exercise it when you have the chance?
Though past voter turnout has looked a little weak — 61.1 per cent in 2011 and 58.8 per cent in 2008 — there's a lot of reason to hope this year.
For example, there's good news coming out of the advance polls — like a 71 per cent increase in advance voting from the 2011 election.
But that's not enough. If you haven't cast your vote yet, make sure you do so on Oct. 19, 2015. By Canadian law, you get three consecutive hours off in order to vote, so your boss won't even get mad.
If you need some more convincing, however, The Huffington Post Canada has conducted an entirely unscientific analysis to find out what exactly the universe will bring upon you if you don't vote.
Feel free to pass it around, or just send the individual cards below to relevant friends and family.
And remember — if you don't vote, you don't get to complain. And we all love to complain.
