Anton Yelchin Laid To Rest At Private Funeral

May he rest in peace.

Anton Yelchin's family and friends have said their final goodbyes to the actor.

A private funeral for the "Star Trek" star took place on Friday in an undisclosed location, according to E! News.

The ceremony was held less than a week after the 27-year-old was killed in a car accident at his home in L.A.

Yelchin, who will be seen in the summer blockbuster "Star Trek Beyond" in July, died when his Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled down his driveway, pinning him against a mailbox pillar and security fence.

Last Wednesday, the coroner's office confirmed that he died from blunt force asphyxia.

The "Like Crazy" actor was supposed to be meeting friends for a rehearsal, but when he didn't show up, some of them went to check on him at his home and found his body.

After news of his death was confirmed, celebrity friends and colleagues took to social media to pay tribute to the young actor, including his "Star Trek" co-stars.

Since the tragic accident, it's been reported that Yelchin's Jeep model could have been part of a massive recall for a gear-shifting problem, causing some drivers to believe their cars were in park, when they were actually in neutral.

More details of the actor's death, including his toxicology report, will be released in the next six to eight weeks.
