You know his name...
But also, Matt Damon.
And Matt Damon is back. With a man bun. And people are totally confused about it.
Just when we thought the man bun was dead and gone, here comes Matt Damon charging into a press conference in Beijing, China, on Tuesday flaunting it like it's some hot, fresh hairstyle on the scene.

But here's the issue, guys. How the hell was Matt able to grow this thing in less than a month?! Cue the evidence...
This was Matt during an AOL Build interview on July 28th, sporting his usual Matt Damon hair:

Same old, same old.
Now, this is Matt Damon less than a month later:
HOW?! How does one man grow his hair this fast? WE. ARE. CONFUSED.
Could this be a clip-on man bun? Doubtful. Matt doesn't seem like that type of guy. And wait, did he colour his hair an auburn colour too?
Are we being "Punk'd"? Is this for a new role? A mid-life crisis?
The man bun, "not just a hairstyle, but a lifestyle" for some men, first gained fame back in 2014 thanks to celebrities such as Harry Styles, Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio. The trend became so popular with men all over the globe that, according to Google, it was the biggest beauty search term of 2015.
Jason Bourne? More like... Jason (man) Bun.
Somewhere out there, Matt Damon's ponytail Twitter account is rejoicing (yes, you read that right... his 2015 textured ponytail has its own social media account).
