Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are parents again! On Monday, July 4, proud dad Krasinski announced on Twitter that their second child arrived last month.
The 36-year-old also revealed their baby girl’s adorable name: Violet.
It’s not surprising that the couple chose a traditional moniker for their newborn, considering they chose old school classic Hazel for their first daughter, who is now two years old.
Both names are also nature-inspired, which has been a big trend among celebrities in recent years. Jena Malone, for instance, recently gave birth to her first child and named him Ode Mountain.
Blunt and Krasinski first announced they were expecting back in January. Since then, Blunt has shown off her gorgeous baby bump on the red carpet multiple times, including at the 2016 Met Gala in May.
And while the couple is generally private about their family life, Blunt did open up to C Magazine about the differences between her first and second pregnancies.
“The first pregnancy is the most self-indulgent thing in the world because you get massages and prenatal yoga and hypnotherapy CDs,” the 33-year-old said in the magazine’s April issue. “During this [second one] I forget that I’m even pregnant. I’m hoisting a 2-year-old around!”
When Blunt and Krasinski’s first daughter Hazel was born, the couple only ever shared one photo with the world. Here’s hoping they’ll do the same with their newborn Violet. If she’s anything like her sister, we bet she’s adorable as ever!
