The time has come, dear readers, to reveal which of the submissions for The Huffington Post Canada's first-ever Project Pet Contest earned the top prize, drawing votes (and presumably, lots of 'awwwws') from across the country.
Just to recap, here were our finalists:
Hannibel, the St. Bernard puppy who's currently weighing in at five pounds -- but will grow to 150 pounds.
Emmylou, the Bernese Mountain Dog who likes long walks in the park.
Bogey, whose physics-defying antics astound even his owners.
Draper, a Husky who can't get enough of bird-watching.
Qantas and Levi, Nova Scotia Duck Tollers, brothers that truly care for each other.
One last honourable mention goes to Eddie, "the frizzled cochin," a house chicken who came quite close to landing in the top five.
And now, without further ado, the winners of the Project Pet Contest -- the brothers Qantas and Levi!
Qantas and Levi's owners will receive a gift card -- and of course, some serious bragging rights in the face of such stiff competition. A huge thanks to everyone who entered the contest -- your pets were adorable!
